New Visions Civic League was formed in 1993 in response to the increased blight in the Fairmount neighborhood. The mission of the organization was to create a secure, friendly and prosperous community of citizens: Neighbors helping neighbors. New Visions has proven to be an accessible outlet for the residents of Fairmount to connect with each other as well as with the city of Richmond and city partners.
NVCL now has a running portfolio of projects in the neighborhood and has been involved with the planning of major projects including The Market at 25th, the Carrington Street Revitalization, and the annual events National Night Out and I Have a Dream Festivals.

Our President
Paul Granger was elected President of NVCL in 2020, and attended his first New Visions meeting in 2009. He has served with multiple non-profits in the community, and he and his family have a strong personal focus on loving their neighbors.
